Established by Sherard McQueen and Yaseen Nimjee, who have been business partners for over 20 years, M5V Inc. is a concept created to represent Toronto and the GTA globally. It was named in honour of “M5V”, the postal code for Toronto's bustling downtown core.
As a developer, M5V is committed to creating outstanding projects that cater to the communities they serve. Co-founder Sherard McQueen is a native of Buffalo, New York, and spent a great deal of his childhood summers in Niagara Falls, Canada. “Niagara Falls was always an oasis for me. It represented great childhood memories of time spent with my family and friends, surrounded by the natural wonders of Niagara and the great people who support this region. I want to give back to this community which has given so much to me. Niagara is a part of my core and I now share my passion with my two children who I bring to the region regularly. I relive my childhood joy through a shared experience with my family and I wish to share this with all stakeholders in The Niagara.”
In 2001, the York University graduate and psychology major had just relocated to New York City for postgraduate school. During his first week of classes at NYU the terrorist attacks on the twin towers occurred, “It changed my perspective on life. I decided to return home to the place that embraced me as a child and do what I most cherished upon my return, real estate”.
Over the next 15 years, he forged a reputation as one of the city’s brightest real estate minds. Since that time, Sherard has transacted 1 Billion in real estate, personally purchased 75 residential and many commercial investment properties, and co-founded M5V Realty Inc. Brokerage. Quietly he built an empire in what’s soon to be the new empire state. However, what is most meaningful is the tens of millions of dollars he has made for his clients who have entrusted in his unparalleled vision.
Since 2012 Sherard has become a successful real estate developer and currently is building a multi-million dollar; multi-phase project in Orillia and several custom homes in the downtown core.
As a co-founder of M5V Inc, Sherard enlists 15 full time real estate practitioners, offers direct access to realty investments and is responsible for developing some of the most provocative sites in Ontario.
A graduate of Western University, Yaseen has invested in real estate for years but began his career trading securities for a major financial institution.
A longstanding commitment to community service saw Yaseen abandon the high life of Finance and apply his skills, quite literally, at ground level. Together with M5V co-founder, Sherard McQueen, Yaseen helped oversee the construction and opening of Torchlight Academy in Raleigh, North Carolina. The school, which now boasts an enrollment of over 400 students from low-income areas, gave Yaseen the opportunity to pair his entrepreneurial savvy and his hands-on construction skills. It was a skill set that would not be discontinued when Yaseen returned to Toronto and began to make inroads in real estate.
Yaseen's trajectory continues to take him deeper into real estate and now he is the on-site developer for the Sundial Lakeview Retirement Home in Orillia. With a versatile professional background and a sales portfolio of more than half a billion, Yaseen Nimjee brings skills and experience to M5V that are simultaneously broad and value focused.
Priscilla Facey brought an exciting combination of passion and expertise to the field of real estate. At the age of 23, she purchased her first home—a small townhouse in Mississauga, Ontario. When she sold it two years later for a sizeable profit, she realized the lucrative potential in owning real estate.
After earning a Bachelor’s Degree from The University of Toronto, Priscilla spent 8 years handling labour disputes for the government. This role helped her acquire the skills necessary to negotiate. She then began buying and selling investment properties and eventually became a licensed Realtor. Priscilla has developed a unique approach and encourages her clients to use real estate as a vehicle to build wealth.
Her numbers spoke to her success: Mere months after joining M5V Realty, she ranked as the firm’s top seller, with properties sold in the double digits.
In recent years, Priscilla has enjoyed purchasing and designing a number of residential properties in the Toronto area, dealing with every facet of the process, from designing layouts, managing trades and negotiating the purchase of materials. Her latest project sees Priscilla using these myriad skills to develop land outside the GTA: “Toronto has priced many buyers out of the market, I’m excited to create value by bringing downtown design to suburban cities”.
Mr. Danyel Barnswell, has been an entrepreneur from an early age. In his formative years Danyel always gravitated towards business endeavours and believed in providing value to his contemporaries. After completing his secondary education Danyel matriculated at the prestigious Sprott School of Business at Carleton University in Ottawa. It was during this tenure Danyel decided to expand his business activities and upon his return to southern Ontario he opened up a very successful car dealership at only 22 years old.
The desire for personal growth and a chance meeting with Mr. Sherard McQueen, CEO of M5V Developments led Danyel to successfully obtain his Real Estate license. Working with Sherard whilst assisting him to find a vehicle for a family friend Sherard noticed the positive energy and attention to detail Danyel exuded and encouraged Danyel to enter into real estate. Once licensed, Sherard immediately requested Danyel become the exclusive broker for his landmark Development project in Niagara choosing Danyel over much more seasoned agents because of the greatness he saw within. Danyel has since become part of the fabric of M5V developments and still offers the same exceptional customer care and unparalleled vision that brought him to this juncture.
Linda’s passion for real estate began shortly after owning her first home at a young age. Several years and ten properties later, Linda’s entrepreneurial spirit continued to grow, and although she enjoyed a successful career in Marketing with Microsoft, she opted to switch gears and use her skills to market a different type of product: Real Estate.
As a Real Estate Broker, Linda is known as a hardcore Evangelist for her clients’ needs. Linda’s success stems from the strong relationships she builds with her clients, while empowering and educating them in making knowledgeable real estate investments. Whether clients are buying their first home, or they are seasoned investors with large portfolios, Linda strives to deliver a seamless and bespoke experience and most importantly, value to her clients by ensuring she is delivering unparalleled results in every interaction.
